Acenocoumarol

Acenocoumarol

Product Name : Acenocoumarol

Grade : IP / BP / USP

Therapeutic Category : Anti coagulant

CAS No : 152-72-7
COA : Available

MSDS : Available

Description

Acenocoumarol is an anticoagulant that functions as a vitamin K antagonist (like warfarin). An anticoagulant is a substance that prevents coagulation; that is, it stops blood from clotting. A group of pharmaceuticals called anticoagulants can be used in vivo as a medication for thrombotic disorders. Some chemical compounds are used in medical equipment, such as test tubes, blood transfusion bags, and renal dialysis equipment.Anticoagulants are given to people to stop thrombosis (blood clotting inappropriately in the blood vessels).

This is useful in primary and secondary prevention of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarctions and strokes in those who are predisposed. The dose of these medicines will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor’s orders or the directions on the label . The following information includes only the average doses of these medicines. If your dose is different, do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do so.

For oral dosage form (tablets): For preventing or treating harmful blood clots: Adults—The usual dose is 1 to 10 milligrams (mg) per day, adjusted according to blood tests. Children—Dose must be determined by your doctor. For injection dosage form: For preventing or treating harmful blood clots: Adults—The starting dose is usually 2 to 5 milligrams (mg) per day for two to four days. Then, your dose may be adjusted, depending on your condition and results of routine blood tests. Children—Dose must be determined by your doctor.

Description

Antibiotic, Antibacterial, Antiinfective, Antimalarial, CNS Stimulant NSAID, Antipyretic, Analgesic, and Anti inflammatory Acesulfame potassium (ace-SUHL-faym), also known as acesulfame K (K is the symbol for potassium) or Ace K, is a calorie-free sugar substitute (artificial sweetener), and marketed under the trade names Sunett and Sweet One. In the European Union, it is known under the E number (additive code) E950It was discovered accidentally in 1967 by German chemist Karl Clauss at Hoechst AG (now Nutrinova). Acesulfame K is 200 times sweeter than sucrose (common sugar), as sweet as aspartame, about 2/3 as sweet as saccharin, and 1/3 as sweet as sucralose. Like saccharin, it has a slightly bitter aftertaste, especially at high concentrations. Kraft Foods patented the use of sodium ferulate to mask acesulfame’s aftertaste.

Acesulfame K is often blended with other sweeteners (usually sucralose or aspartame). Acesulfame potassium is one of the non-nutritive sweeteners that aids patients with type 1 diabetes. It provides a super sweet taste without affecting glycaemic responses and without the high content of caloric sugars. Some studies, however, discovered that the consumption of non-nutritive sweeteners has led to weight gain thus increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Agomelatine is an extremely potent agonist at both melatonin receptors (MT1 and MT2), with additional antagonism at 5HT2C. It is a novel antidepressant with many desired in vivo properties, including neuroprotection and neurogenesis in depression-sensitive brain areas.

Agomelatine′s efficacy appears to be due to both melatonergic and serotonergic properties. In neurogenesis assays, both in vitro and in vivo, the compound effects were differentially affected by antagonists for MT1/MT2 and 5HT2C, demonstrating actions through all three receptors.

Albendazole

Albendazole

Product Name : Albendazole

Grade : IP / BP / USP

Therapeutic Category : Anthelmintic

CAS No : 54965-21-8

COA : Available

MSDS : Available

Description

Albendazole, is a medication used for the treatment of a variety of parasitic worm infestations. It is useful for giardiasis, trichuriasis, filariasis, neurocysticercosis, hydatid disease, pinworm disease, and ascariasis, among others.

It is taken by mouth. Common side effects include nausea, abdominal pains, and headaches. Potentially serious side effects include bone marrow suppression which usually improves on stopping the medication. As a vermicidal, albendazole causes degenerative alterations in the intestinal cells of the worm by binding to the colchicine-sensitive site of tubulin, thus inhibiting its polymerization or assembly into microtubules.

The loss of the cytoplasmic microtubules leads to impaired uptake of glucose by the larval and adult stages of the susceptible parasites, and depletes their glycogen stores. Degenerative changes occur in the endoplasmic reticulum, the mitochondria of the germinal layer, and the subsequent release of lysosomes results in a decreased production of ATP. Due to diminished ATP production, the parasite is immobilized and eventually dies.

Allylestrenol

Allylestrenol

Product Name : Allylestrenol

Grade : IP / BP / USP

Therapeutic Category : Prevent threatened miscarriage

CAS No : 432-60-0

COA : Available

MSDS : Available

Description

Allylestrenol is a steroidal progestin of the 19-nortestosterone and 17α-allyltestosterone groups that is used to prevent threatened miscarriage, recurrent pregnancy loss and premature labor. It has also been studied as a treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia in men, with encouraging results. Although it is less potent as a progestogen relative to many other 19-nortestosterone derivatives, allylestrenol is said to be virtually devoid of androgenic, estrogenic, or glucocorticoid activity, and hence, unlike virtually all other 19-nortestosterone derivatives, appears to be a pure progestogen with similar effects to those of progesterone. As it is lacking in a keto group at the C3 position, allylestrenol is thought to be a prodrug into 17α-allyl-19-nortestosterone (or 17α-allylnandrolone)

Allylestrenol is a progestogen structurally related to progesterone that has been given in threatened and recurrent miscarriage, and to prevent premature labour. However, with the exception of proven progesterone deficiency, such use is no longer recommended. In threatened miscarriage in progesterone-deficient women a suggested dose is 5 mg three times daily by mouth for 5 to 7 days.
